Do I need to fill out all the codes in the Mapping Information section?
GIATA pre-fills the codes we already have on file. If you notice any missing or incorrect codes, feel free to update them. If you don’t have a code for a specific channel — or you're unsure — you can simply leave it blank.
Can I include videos in GIATA DRIVE?
Yes, you can add videos by inserting a YouTube or Vimeo URL in the Media section within the factsheet.
How are created my hotel descriptions?
The descriptions are created automatically in 25 languages according to your factsheet. In our platform there are more than 800 facts you can select from, the more facts you select makes the description richer.
Can I write my own descriptions?
No, descriptions are automatically generated based on the information provided in the factsheet. Once you update your data, it may take up to 7 business days for the descriptions to refresh.
How can I delete a photo?

To delete a photo, follow these steps:

  1. Hover your mouse over the image you want to delete. A grey bar will appear at the top of the image.

  2. Click the checkbox in the top-right corner of the image.

  3. Once selected, click the bin icon located under the GIATA DRIVE header to delete the photo.

You can also delete multiple photos at once by selecting the checkbox on each photo you'd like to remove, then clicking the bin icon.

How can I create room types in GIATA DRIVE?
Go to the Room Types section and click on "Add Room Type." You’ll be able to define details like the room category, type, view and name, size. Please be aware that you don't have to fill out all the boxes.
Do I need to fill in all the fields (Room Category, Room Type, Room View, and Room Name)?
No, it's not mandatory to fill in all fields. You can use just the Room Name if the dropdown options don’t match your needs.
Where can I find the Expedia, Booking, and Hotelbeds room codes?
Directly in the extranets of each platform. For guidance, we recommend checking out our Knowledge Base (Expedia, Booking, and Hotelbeds).
How can I assign facts at the room type level?
Directly in the factsheet within the Rooms tab. Click in "edit" under each fact to display all room types and assign the desired ones. 
How can I arrange the order of room images?
You can arrange the image order from the "Images" tab. The first image displayed in the gallery will appear first, so simply move your preferred image to the first position to highlight it.
How long does it take for my content to go live on the Open Content Link?
Once your setup is complete and your content has been submitted, it will be processed and go live according to the following timelines: facts update within 6 hours, images and master data within 1 day, and descriptions within up to 7 working days.
How do I update the master data (hotel name, address, phone, email and urls) in the Open Content Link?
These details can only be updated by us. Please send us an email with the correct information, and we’ll take care of it for you. 
How can I download the images and data from the Open Content Link (OCL)?
In the OCL header click on ZIP and select the content to download. Note that the images must be decompressed once downloaded.
How can I share my content with channels that are not part of GIATA's distribution list?

You can share your Open Content Link with any external partners — this allows them to access and download your content directly.

Can I edit the descriptions displayed in the Open Content Link?
No, descriptions cannot be manually edited. If you'd like to remove or change something, please send us a screenshot with the specific information highlighted, and we’ll review it.
How do I connect my hotel to Booking.com?

Go to the Edit Property tab and click in “Booking.com Quick Connect”. You’ll be redirected to their extranet, where you need to select GIATA as your connectivity provider for images. Once completed, we’ll receive your request and proceed to whitelist your property — distribution typically goes live within 24 hours.

Important: make sure your hotel has images and room types created, including room codes and images. Without this information, we won't be able to whitelist your hotel.

Where can I find the channels GIATA puts the content available?
You can find all the channels under "Channel List". Each channel decides their content usage and update frequency, we provide this info where possible.
What it means PUSH distribution with Tour Operators?
Tour operators marked with “Push” receive images and certain facts from GIATA DRIVE and choose what to use. Most also use our MHG software, leveraging GIATA’s master data, hotel categories, facts, and descriptions across their systems.
What shall I do if a channel didn't update?
Mapping errors might lead to your content not being displayed correctly on the channels. Please reach out to us for further support.
What can I see in the Tour Operators tab?
The Tour Operators tab shows packaged tour offers from DACH tour operators, delivered via our software for travel agencies. These offers appear on major CRS systems like Amadeus Bistro, Schmetterling, CosmoNaut, and Peakwork, as well as in the “Packaged Tours” sections of tour operator websites. 
How can I update my hotel's name and/or category with tour operators?
Please send us a list of the tour operators that need to update your hotel’s name and/or category. Additionally, fill out this document to authorize GIATA to manage your content with key distributors on your behalf. Once we receive both, we’ll proceed with the updates.
What are the Sales Channels?
Sales channels are suppliers of data to GIATA, and most of them do not consume GIATA DRIVE content. This section shows you which channels currently list your accommodation in their portfolio. You can use this insight to make decisions such as reaching out to establish a direct partnership, requesting removal from their listings, or asking them to update your hotel’s name and/or category.
How can I update my hotels name and/or category among Sales Channels?
If the channel is not part of GIATA’s distribution list, you are responsible for contacting the channel to request the update. If the channel is part of our distribution list, please reach out to our hotel team for further assistance and guidance on how to proceed.
