Implementation Steps:
API Integration: In order to start the process of connecting to the API, it is necessary that we gather some information from you. Please reach out to your contact at GIATA to receive guidance on providing this information, as well as receiving detailed documentation on the API and data format. Next, they will put you in contact with the GIATA tech team to coordinate the implementation.
In order to enable import of your data to GIATA Drive we need to map your properties' unique identifiers to our GIATA ID and then whitelist those properties, so to speed the process up please provide our team with information on the format of the property ID in your source system, such as ID format, whether it is numeric/alphanumeric, how many letters/digits they consist of and whether they are always unique across your property portfolio.
Testing and Validation: Prior to deployment, hotels can conduct thorough testing and validation to ensure that data imports correctly and is displayed as expected. This stage allows for fine-tuning mappings and resolving any integration issues. Our tech team will provide access to a test environment.
Deployment: Once testing is complete, hotels can deploy the integrated solution into their production environment. Our team provides support throughout this process to ensure a smooth transition.

- Can I maintain my content manually in the Drive interface after importing content through the API?
Please note that you must choose to either maintain your content automatically through the API or manually through the interface. It is not possible to do a mix of the two, as the API will overwrite any changes made in the Drive interface.
- Will GIATA populate any additional information on amenities?
When using the Drive User Interface, GIATA initially populates the fact sheet on amenities with the information we already have. When using the import API this will be overwritten and only the facts you have mapped from your source system will remain.
- What do I do if the GIATA fact sheet is missing facts/amenities that are important to me?
