In 3 main ways:
1. GIATA Push (including Tour Operator Push every 24-48h)
GIATA pushes your content to all our existing customers: a global portfolio of suppliers, bedbanks, tour operators, travel agencies in the DACH region (via Amadeus Bistro and Peakwork), and other tourism and hospitality players. Once the content is present on the Open Content Link, the content will become updated on these parties' platforms.
2. GIATA Pull
GIATA makes your content available to additional partners, who pull updated information periodically (weekly, monthly, etc.) directly and via our external partner ICE Portal. Those partners decide what content they would like to distribute (if only partly, only images, only some languages, etc. as in general they get content from several parties at the same time.
Google and Tripadvisor are examples of this type of distribution.
3. Open Content Link
Lastly, alongside GIATA's actions, the hotelier plays an important role in the distribution too. Once the Open Content Link for each property is fully updated, we recommend that you send this or your Group Directory if you have one to all your partners, and request that they either update the content they have of your property, or integrate your content into their back-end code with the help of their IT department.
Reach out to your target OTAs and Tour Operators and request them to easily integrate the Open Content Link information into their back-end code for your content to be automatically updated on their platforms. Integrate the content into your own website for the updates to be done from the GIATA DRIVE platform.
Request to your CSM a template email that you can use to communicate to your partners that you have now partnered with GIATA for content distribution.
The GIATA team will work on the distribution hand in hand with you in order to update your content in your main distribution channels.
If one of your online partners is not in the distribution of GIATA, please confirm with your GIATA Customer Success Manager (hotels@giata.com) the name of the online partner. Once you have the confirmation that the online partner is not yet in
GIATA’s network, provide the online partner with your Open Content Link,
which contains all the hotel information in any format the online partner might
need. Simultaneously, GIATA will reach out to the same partner and offer them
the chance to be included in GIATA’s network. The partner will always have
access to all our GIATA DRIVE hotel information free of charge.
