Room Information:
In order to correctly map and distribute the content at room level, please:
  • Create as many Room Types as you have on the main distribution platforms (please choose pre-defined options from the dropdown menu or create your own customized ones).
  • Fill in Internal, Hotelbeds, Booking.com and Expedia codes:
Internal Room Codes: These are your own room codes, they are mandatory for distribution to Expedia, Agoda and many other platforms!
Hotelbeds: Room codes used for distribution on room type level to Hotelbeds. Distribution to Hotelbeds is set automatically, but we recommend informing your Hotelbeds account manager that you wish to start maintaining the content via GIATA.  Read additional information here.
Expedia: Expedia Partner Code (please see the image below), note that this is not the numeric ID. Distribution to Expedia will turn on automatically. Read additional information here.
Booking.com: Numeric Codes (please see the image below). Distribution to Booking.com will not turn on automatically. This needs to be confirmed by you on the Booking.com intranet and also by GIATA as an additional step. Read additional information here.

Images:
  • For a 100% image score on the dashboard tab, upload at least 50 images.
  • Assign the images with motif type Room or Bedroom Example to their corresponding room type (created in the Edit Rooms tab).
  • The images distribute to some partners in the order of appearance in DRIVE. For these cases, the order we recommend for bedroom photos is 1° bedroom photos, 2° bathroom photos, 3° optionally the room view.
  • We recommend high definition images as best practice: min size requirement: 1,920 x 1,080 pix
  • Images with a lower resolution may be tagged with a red flash icon sign, as they could be excluded or rejected by some distribution channels.
GIATA will check all the images you provided and reject the following:
  • duplicated image content
  • any copyright protected content (trademarks)

Dashboard features (Scores, Sales Channels, Tour Operators, and Compare Hotels tabs):
They are our newly implemented tracking tool, which allows the property managers to have a better understanding of the overall digital footprint of their property, as well as to benchmark the scores on the dashboard with nearby properties.
These features can be accessed from the main Menu bar of your account when you click on the ''Dashboard'', ''Sales Channels'', ''Tour Operators'' & ''Compare Hotels'' tabs:

Channel list
GIATA shares your hotel information, including images, amenities and descriptions, with a fast-growing number of German tour operators and thousands of their travel agency partners, as well as with international travel sites, OTAs, bed banks, GDSs, etc. The number of distribution channels is constantly growing.
You can find the complete and up-to-date list on the upper right corner of the DRIVE Frontend under "Channel list".

Additional Information
You're all set to go! Making the necessary changes on the platform for the setup could take you as little as 1 day. After you have updated the platform, the profile will be cross-checked by our content management team, and the content will be uploaded onto the Open Content Link. This usually takes 4 to 7 days.

The distribution is live, as soon as the content reaches the Open Content Link of the hotels, it is already being distributed to the channels.

After this, your content will start distributing automatically to all channels except for Booking.com. In order to enable B.com's distribution, on the Edit Property tab, click the button "Booking.com Quick Connect", and follow the steps displayed.

Booking.com is the only channel that needs distribution whitelisting. This can be done from the Edit Property tab in the DRIVE platform.
