Correctly set up DRIVE to ensure optimal and complete distribution to Hotelbeds
We are extremely excited to announce the new collaboration with Hotelbeds bedbank, a B2B company from Spain.
Hotelbeds is currently consuming the following content from GIATA DRIVE: Master data, Descriptions, and Images. With the next content updates, they will also consume: Room types, and Facts.
The update frequency is currently not defined, they finalized a full content update based on GIATA at the end of January 2024. Any content update can be requested to the Customer Success team, as usual.
In order to guarantee an optimal distribution to this channel, please keep in mind the following minimum content is requested by Hotelbeds/maxiroom:
For more detailed information on the distribution requirements for maxiroom, you can request to receive the maxiroom manual from the Customer Success team.
To distribute the images to Hotelbeds at room level:
1. Create room types on the "Edit Rooms" tab. Add the maxiroom room code on the PMS field within each room type in DRIVE. The internal room code is also checked as a fallback in case the PMS field is empty. Therefore, it is possible to distribute to Hotelbeds on room level if the "Internal" field matches the information in maxiroom. See below an example:
For reference, see the information displayed in maxiroom when adding the code that you should also add in DRIVE:
The correct code can be found in maxiroom under Hotel Info -> Rooms. See highlighted in yellow below which is the right code:
2. Save changes on the "Edit Property" tab in DRIVE.
3. Upload and save images.
The distribution is live, once everything is correctly displayed in the Open Content Link of the hotel, it is susceptible to being used by Hotelbeds in the next regular content update.
Please, let the Customer Success team at hotels@giata.com know if you have any content update requests for Hotelbeds/maxiroom, we will be happy to support you and ensure the successful distribution.
